The first produce from my Organic Garden - 2017

The appearance, feel, smell and taste of the vital energy in freshly picked fruit and veg does not easily compare to the half dead, denutrified and not entirely organic produce you will find in most 'organic' aisles at your local shop. Today I picked the first fresh food from my polytunnel in England and I am very happy with the results!

I use a lot of cucumbers in juices here, such as the [Lemon & Ginger Blast](https://steemit.com/health/@ura-soul/lemon-and-ginger-blast-this-really-is-the-most-powerful-healing-drink-i-have-ever-found-you-can-stop-colds-and-other-bugs and sometimes also 'Gorilla Milk' and as a result I always make sure to grow a variety of cucumbers each year. I generally aim to buy heirloom seeds that are non GMO and which have been handed down through family lines, so as to be as clean genetically as possible.

This year I also sourced some BioDynamic seeds from Demeter:

I have found that BioDynamic seeds are the best seeds available in Britain and probably globally as the plants they create demonstrate superior resistance to invaders, better taste and are all round simply stronger than the alternatives. BioDynamic growers take into account absolutely every parameter when growing and harvesting crops - even including moon cycles into their equations and, although I was a bit skeptical to begin with, it appears they are right to do so.

More tips, produce and juices to come

Once the rest of my crops come to harvest time I will be making fresh juices and sharing the benefits of my labour with you here on Steemit. It's sad that I can't actually share the juice with you all through the web, but at least I might inspire you to go ahead and grow your own food - It really is one of the smartest moves a human can make on Earth!

But then again, we need to consider the downsides too:
