Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan Discuss Kekistan

    innerverse

This conversation reignited my faith in Joe. And I have been reminded once again that I should check out Jordan Peterson's youtube page. Truth is coming back, I can feel it.

Haha yes it's quite funny to see oldsters baffled by the internets. However the larger discussion that this clip comes from is one that I felt really got to the roots of why we have masculine based hierarchy expressing in the world, commenting on the good and bad sides of this evolutionary fact. The conversation invigorated my sense of purpose and connection to our heroic duty as men, that is to say, we are obligated to speak and live the truth because that's the ideal world. That one can't fix the economy if they can't clean their room. I'll say that the majority of the intellectual work in this conversation is carried by Peterson, but Joe asked good questions and seems to be on the same page, in general, that the way we fix the world is by looking within and taming that beast first.

balance on the outside cannot arise without balance on the inside, yes - ultimately there is no outside. ;)
joe rogan has a lot to balance on the inside.

I agree with this statement, but I do not think we can entirely discredit the good things a person does, just because they also do harm or act in a way we would not act. Ultimately I believe he brings a lot of good to the world through having the conversations he has on the show. Even if hunting animals is not a right action, it is less heartless than factory farming. I'm not a meat eater, but I do recognize that we are all in various stages of spiritual development and I do my best not to condemn anyone for their mistakes, while living the way I feel is closest to truth that I can. I can say, definitively, that without listening to Joe, I would not have been exposed to many of the good ideas I now practice, at least I would not have been exposed in the timing that I was. The more we judge, the more complex things seem to get, but there is a right and wrong that will be weighed against our hearts in the end.

he has also gone on a kind of rampage against veganism in general, it is more than just a simple error that he is embodying - he has an actual malicious heartlessness to his psyche that i find disturbing and the lack of consciousness involved can also be found in his approach in general. i am not judging him here, i am simply pointing to what i know to be true - i feel saddened that the world holds such individuals up as symbols of intelligence when there are so many who are orders of magnitude more aware in a balanced way that go unrecognised by most of us.
