@ura.soul - Well maggie is amazing bless her, sounds like me on these subjects..This brought tears to my eyes remembering my past experiences of being homeless and in foster care, and my friends..Since I was young as thirteen I remember thinking I would create my own home for children and keep them all safe,I think that's why it is still strong in my heart to have some sort of safe retreat for all youth..It pains me so.. :(

oh, i see, ok - thanks for not losing touch with your desire here. yes, there are many compassionate people around who want to help and who have lived through the experiences they know we need to change/evolve immediately. there are many layers to these issues and they all need to be addressed and understood for true balance to be allowed. working to create balance locally in small ways is as valid an approach as any to helping us heal.

Yes I agree,I have been looking into doing voluntary work at our homeless unit and on the streets on a night in our city, and often when I am out in the city I find myself talking with them on a one to one which I know has been healing for us..always ending in love and hugs.We have a lot of refugees here and I Know some of the children have ended up with their parents gone and no family so I am going to look into that some more too.

Doing the best I can with my own four children has been the greatest healer I think.

as long as you always re-member to not do more than you feel you can do, then you will be doing what is needed to keep you/us in balance. :)

i had a surprise today in that i was out with my dad and he gave me some money to give to a girl who looked ill and was begging. that's the first time i have ever seen him even think of doing that and he was nearly crying. i have been helping him heal emotionally and although i already knew that it opens the heart and mind together as one - it is always a pleasant surprise to see those you thought would never change, begin to evolve. :)

That's a good point..I do need to remember that as often I end up doing too much and forgetting or putting aside my own life and health which sometimes leads to burnout.

I have been wanting to re-connect with my dad recently but I am not sure where to start..there is so much that I want to say do for him to help him heal but I'm not sure he would listen.I haven't seen him for nearly 2 years now and he recently told me he has throat cancer so going to see what I can do to travel to see him.

I am really happy for you getting to see your dad evolve, that must of felt amazing :)

@Faith - yes, we cannot help others balance if we are out of balance. that is unfortunate about your dad's health. my mother died a few weeks ago from cancer and it was very traumatic since the chemo'therapy' seriously confused her and she would be open to healing in different ways in one moment and then seemingly deny the situation the next day and go get more chemo'therapy'. i don't know if you have any experience with cancer already, but there is a cancer katalist here if you want to do any research into the topic: healing: cancer

You have my deepest sympathy..that must have been difficult. I get quite emotional when I comes to people close to me with serious illnesses as they often dont take on my thoughts of other ways of healing. A few of my close family members have died from cancer and I myself had a form of it which was caught in time,so I have had some experiences but I will have a look at the katalist out of interest as not come across it yet.Thank you

thankyou for caring. cancer is a topic that has had so much commentary on it and so much misinformation, that it took me a lot of filtering to cut out the lies. the katalist contains only the speakers who have shown me to be accurate in what they are saying - though that does not mean they know all the answers.
